Luckily I went right to the 270 BS-ingwe, which gets 69 fps more than the standard. I talked them (B & S) into necking down a B-29...

What do you think, Ingwe: A Ruger No. 1 (regular sporter) with 22 inch barrel at 38.5 overall inches. Think that'd get the job done? Frankly, about 99% I never shoot more than once since the pigs are generally gone like ghosts after the first shot. I'm thinking that'd be a pretty good pig/blind gun. What do you think?

Indeed - they made a few #1A's in .257 Roberts, it would be easy to rebore one to the .270 Ingwe.

All the more reason to do it then!! Still think about doing it. Load the .270 Ingwe with a 160 gr Nosler Partition. And you would have a pale shadow of what a 7x57 loaded with a 175 NPT is... Behold on the right, the hoary old 7x57. On the left, the all-new .270 Ingwe: Why would anyone desecrate a 277 caliber with a x57 case.

I like them. Nice! Is that a 1B? I don't see the Henry cut in the forearm.

Why would anyone desecrate a 277 caliber with a x57 case. well, it would fill the niche between the 6.8SPC and the 6.8x61 since Winchester has yet to see the light and build a .270-08

Yeah, there are a few on Gun Broker, more RSIs than anything, though. And Cabela's Gun Library has one or two.

I think Lipseys had a run done in their Boddington series, nice wood, big price! Yeah, but from what I understand they'll only hit a heart/lung shot on a wild pig. That doesn't do me any good at all.
