This is the table at Academy tonight in Flowood Ms.. That pallet is full too.

Grand opening tomorrow. Sometimes this building stuff has its perks.

Both the new Cabelas store and the Bass Pro store here in Colorado had the same thing when they had their grand opening. It was all gone in about 30 minutes.I expect you will see the same thing.

Had an opportunity to buy some .22 this afternoon. There was no limit, but I only took 3 boxes to leave some for the next guy. Seems like that is a lost art.

That does look kinda sexy tho.. But snapped up in minutes it will be..

Stopped by the Bass Pro in Springfield, MO last week and they didn't have any .22 LR ammo. The shelves in the reloading aisle were bare, too, with less than 10 bags of brass and 1# bottles of powder.

Sad that it is now news worthy that a store has .22 ammo in stock.

I got two boxes of winchester 525 for $44, the 1280fps HP's. That was cheaper than their 1000 box...go figure.

We had an Academys open last year and they had inventory for the grand opening. Now, not so much. Went to one of the big Dicks Sporting Goods stores (double decker/former Galyans) earlier this week and they said they haven't had any for six weeks.

Available locally for $70 a brick...

Heck! I have more than that under my loading bench, I am just using up the last of my $125 per case stuff, I hate having to break into the $145 per case ammo.

February 2013, when the new super WalMart opened near my place, they had .22 stacked up like that. It was all gone in three hours, and they have not been in stock since.

Only a few 50/ct boxes around here - at $6.96 ea.. Plenty of Eley stuff at about $18/box.. No wonder it's available..

From what I've seen so far over the last 2 years, 22lr ammo is going to average 12 cents/round from now on.. I just do not see any letup in the foreseeable future..

A few months back one of our local stores got in 2 pallets of it. Sold every box in 6 days. Normally a years supply the owner told me.

The root of the problem. I was at the local Walmart yesterday around noon. They put the new ammo out at 7:00 on Thursday. I went by just to check, and there was none. Clerk said the usual bunch grabbed it up like they have been doing for a long time. Also said that the got some .222 in and he had never heard of it. We talked about that for a while and he seemed like a pretty knowledgeable fellow for a walmart clerk, and he was about 40 years old. I told him that was why he did not know about a .222, too young. miles

That looks like a lot but count the individual boxes. A grand opening will usually bring in thousands for a big store. If each one takes just one box, it'll disappear as fast as Mexicans at a Border Patrol rally.

Also, it's a grand opening. You don't impress new customers with empty shelves. They probably shorted 20 other stores for this.
