FWIW, 9 years ago I went through the very dark valley that you now are walking. I feel your pain and I also had wished to remain married to my one wife, forever. It really hurts when they change and have other plans.

Wishing for the best for you, and that when you are ready your own asphaltangel comes along and sweeps you away.

My wife asked me out typical Celtic fashion. Still together going on 37 years.

O.k. My curiosity is up. What does typical Celtic fashion look like?

laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh

I guess I should have said typical Celtic custom or culture, maybe. laugh

Of course, I sometimes wear a kilt and that's fashionable. grin

BTW: When are you guys coming back to the Missoula gun show?

The average shelf life of a wife is 18 years,..providing that she was properly sealed at the factory.

Unfortunately, the seal generally breaks loose from her mouth and she starts runnin' her yap long before that.

I let green mold form on my first marriage before I declared it "done"

With this one, at the first sign of spoilage, I skim the surface with a fine strainer and give it a good, hot boil for a few days.

It's worked so far.

HC, congrats and I'm glad it worked out for you. Those first two judges should be removed from the bench and given 40 lashes, sounds like they were just pissed that ya'll didn't give half of what you own to a couple of [bleep] lawyers.

I fixed the shelf life for you. 14 years is how long #1 lasted and 13 years with #2 is confirming the 14 year shelf life.

A marriage is like anything else. With careful selection, proper maintenance and care they can last a lot longer.

Preach it, brother. frown

If my current marriage ever comes legally unraveled, I'll never marry again. Not a fargin' chance.

+1. I probably wouldn't even date again. Prostitutes would be cheaper.

LOL! Do you carry with the kilt?

We are low on inventory right now so we won't have a table in Missoula. We're planning to ride our bikes up to Lo Lo Hot Springs so we'll be in the area. I go back to full time work tomorrow with a new agency working 3 1/2 days on and 3 1/2 days off. This will allow for some fun trips as Mark's health will allow.

As usual DITTOS +1. The first step is to like women for other things besides bonking. Of course, women studies help too.

LOL! Do you carry with the kilt? Where! laugh One can wear a dirk in the sock though although I don't. My greatest weapon is laughter---everybody dying of laughter! laugh

The first time you look down at ya dick and it doesn't look back,..you're pretty much done with women.

As with many of us,..you might keep one around for nostalgia,...but past a certain point, the beginning and the end of their usefulness is the ability to make scratch biscuits and bologna gravy.

Maybe you can get 'em to mow the damn yard,.....maybe not.

I like women so I keep mine around for other things like friendship and companionship. We have taken care of each other through the thick and thin.

It's interesting in my Celtic studies which have included women's studies that it is said true love between a man and woman no longer needs society. I know my wife and I have as much as possible dropped out of society. We have had need for few others.

This past weekend I was talking to a retired LEO at our gun club. I asked if he had any kids and he said no. Said he married his first wife when he was young and stupid and married his second when he was just stupid!

Condolences to those it didn't work out for. Our anniversary at the end of this month will be number 56.
