Here's another spoiled one. "Buddy" wandered up a couple of years ago, and has been here ever since.......

Rocky and Zoe, earlier this spring. Just before SARDS took away his vision.

My dog was in the back of the truck today on the way home. I didn't get any pictures of him, but I did get some of the elk...

This little guy we brought back from Oz. Loves chewing on large rawhides and similar stuff.

That is one fat ugly wiener dog.

Had one hell of a ruckus fire up just before dawn's first light, today.

Gracey had treed a big Sow Coon, and about the time I wandered up with a .22 and a flashlight was inspired to climb the damn tree and grab hold of the bugger.

I think this is the first time she's ever been "Bested" in a fight, and she's been moping around about it all day.



I just gave her a really good going over, there are no deep wounds, or lacerations,....and I'd say the only real hurt was to her pride.

Had a very frustrating time with the final dispatch of the little villain,....thick, thorny brush, an over-long (and too light caliber) rifle,...

Gracey pretty much had to do it on her own.

I always had Labs until my divorce 9 years ago. My new wife came with a couple of step-daughters, and a little Cocker I wasn't real keen on initially. A few years back, she got out of the yard and was hit by a car. I spent the better part of the evening wandering the streets with a flashlight when I found her busted up in the ditch. Hauled her to the Vet and after surgery and rehab to teach her to walk again, she has pretty much adopted me as "the one" and doesn't pay much attention to the rest of the family. She's kind of grown on me a bit as well...

I was hunting once and a wombat was hiding behind a 1 inch tree. As long as his eye was blocked by the tree and he couldn't see me, he figured I couldn't see him.

Little Bo, passed a couple of days later in my arms. We all miss him.

Tequila the female on the left. She's very possessive and protective of the wife. Otherwise just a good dog, works team roping cattle fairly well.

Hazer the male I lost last fall. Best working dog I ever had.

She ever going to kindle some pups ?

Man,...I'd kill to have one.

My Heeler Gracey is spayed,...a move that I've been "60-40" about ever since.

God,....BLESS and keep this fine line, and let the AKC rot in hell for their efforts to "standardize" the breed.

Here is mine, he had an uncertain future when we took him in a couple of years ago. He is my constant companion and lives to go walking with me in the forest.

I find the stamina and agility of this breed surprising.



He is also a good vermin dog, loves to kill rats and mice.

She's had one litter so far. The plan was the breed them again this year. Still looking for the right suitor for her now. She's only 4.5 so I have a little time.

Hope that pans, and hope to get a chance at bringin' one of the next (or the one after, for that matter) HOME.

Good stock dogs are one of the Creator's best gifts to us dumbazzed two-leggeds.
