Need some details like age, condition, wear on the high points, barrel marking, large pin upper, etc.
Generic: $350-400 for surplus parts upper, pristine Colt may be over $800.
The M-16A1 rebuild kits have been running between $400-500 on-line.

AH64guy, Barrel reported mint. marked C MP Chrome Bore. Receiver marked C H near the windage knob. Finish looks VG

I bought a new take off Colt M16 upper for $500 when they switched the guard units over to M4's before deployment. It was a nice upper.
