You need a gun port in that upper level to guard the driveway from aggressive deer........

I don't care for them either, but I'm getting more and more used to the ladders. They're a lot easier than building stands on the public land I usually hunt on. Still a pain to bring in though.
I got drawn for Ripley one year. Sunday morning at about 11:00 I'm hearing bullhorns, sirens, lots of vehicle noise, including tracked vehicles on the move. I'm thinking, "I thought they didn't do maneuvers on hunting weekends." I came to find out that a guy fell asleep and fell out of his portable trees stand. He had no harness on and broke his back. Always wear a belt or harness.

Did not use my ladder stand last year, have been using one for about 20years. I know I should have, but I did not use a harness all those years and took lots of naps in it. I have pushed my luck long enough.

There are some REALLY comfortable ones now days. And much, much easier to put on. I have a vest type for bow hunting.

I have a Muddy harness and I really like it. I actually wear one now. When all I had was the big, awkward, tangly messes that come with the tree stands, I never wore them.

Tree stand hunting without a harness is about like playing Russian Roulette. One day it's going to happen.

You coming up 94 or 10?

If 10, I could possibly meet you for a cold one.

Vest style harness for me. And the best if you can get one of the retractable seat belt safety systems so you hook on when you are on the ground before you climb up.

Starting renovations on the basement. took our house off the market and going to make it into the house we want rather than buying one and moving. Taking pics to show progress, Dave you're an inspiration!

Looking great ND. Has the concrete been marked by either RWS or PWM?

GOTTA have initials in the concrete. Unthinkable without.

Colorado, so you decided to love it and not list it?

yes Stan we did, there were no good houses on the market that met our needs so we decided to make our fit. took a bridge loan to get the work done and then we can do the VA homeloan cash out option to pay that back. with our lower interest rate our payment only goes up 40 bucks a month and we can pay off both cars and CC debt (wedding stuff) at the same time. was a no brainer once we looked into it.

dug the egress window and insulated under the crawl space yesterday, that was quite the chore! Yesterday my Cousin came down to help me, I couldn't have done it without him. He's more like a brother than a cousin really.
