I just picked up a marlin 338 express and it has a JM stamp mark on the barrel but it doesn't have a circle around it Did they get stamped like that ,#920505xx or did I get buffaloed

I put a couple rounds through it yesterday and it dose have a good wack to it with the hornady I also seen some Remington 250 gr core locks I would like to get a box of them and see how they fly

Well I order some brass and loading dies brass came in yesterday and dies should be here today , I have been looking around for some loading data on the 338 express and was wondering if any one on here has done any loading for this round or suggesting a bullets that would be a good deer round
