You're not the first to mention problems with the 85's. This was taken a few weeks ago here in Australia. I had the same rifle a couple of years back with exactly the same problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0BJfcIvj3Q

Find a good Pre-Garcia, and you will have a fine Sock-O! I need to get my T3 243 out again, it wants to bughole.... Re: that vid, that rifle did what is needed, fire, extract, eject. I'd hunt w/it. The 9.3 Black Bear is a nice package. Did dent the hell out of the neck, powerful ejection

If it bugged me to hit the turret with ejected brass, I would rotate the scope 90 degrees. (it always seemed to me that the conventional arrangement of turrets on scopes matched better with LH ejecting guns.)
But back to my .223 Tikka. Tomorrow morning I will take a woman shooting, who has never fired a centerfire rifle in her life. Her first shot will be with the Tikka at the 300 yard gong. I am really curious to see if she hits it.

My 75's on the other hand shot beautifully. I have no plans to own a 85 though. I am in the process of accurizing a Tikka Laminate in 270WIN I own.It shoots extremely well considering the lug is beat up and fits sloppily in the action. I just have to drill out the mounting holes and slip in Pillars(Lumleyarms) and put in their recoil lug, it is amazing how tight the action becomes in the stock. Only Difference in the recoil lug between the 75,85 and T3 is the lug is held to the action with a set screw and it is made of a different material.

When I got my Tikka T# Lite 270 wsm, I did a sight down the bore at 25 yards and fired one shot. I made a couple of quick calculations, adjusted the scope, moved it to 50 yards and fired two shots. I made another calculation, adjusted the scope and moved it out to 100 yards. I fired 3 shots at 100. 2 inches high, 3/4" MOA. Unbelievable. Six cartridges to sight in a rifle out of the box.

I have T3 Laminate in 30-06 I bought from Cabela's as one of their special orders. Because I always hunt I very cold weather in Canada I cut the stock so it fits right with all the clothes on. I shoot groups like showen on this thread. For the $650.00 I spent on a laminate stainless firearm I am very satisfied. I shoot a a range just for ShXXX and GigXXX. I clean in the spring with Wipeout anf use a bore snake after range trips with Hoppes Elite except for the last range trip before the deer season I leave it alone til after hunting. I have 2 nephews that hunt that are in-line to buy it when I am to old to hunt and I don't think much about that! What a great firearm for the regular guy that isn't made of money. Buckfever1
