If you could only use one of the Weatherby magnums which would it be? I'm rather fond of the .257 Bee myself but haven't given any of the others trigger time.

Well at one time I owned and hunted with a 240, 7mm 300 and 340 Weatherby Magnums, give what I know, the 7mm Weatherby Mag is the one I would go with, thou the 270 Weatherby would do as well

I depends on what your going to use it for. The 300 is the classic all rounder but you may not need it's power. Other good choices are the .270 or 7mm Wby mags. Or stay with the .257 and be happy!

The 7mm is the pick of the litter, due case capacity, case length, performance to recoil ratio and BC.
No thing to make cases from 7mmRemmie.
Would much prefer a S/A version of same in a Montucky 7 Whizzum,as noone hates belts more than I and I gotta have a GOOD series of reason to go L/A............

$4 each for brass? Where does one buy their brass? At that level, one at least has a cartridge he can talk about.
Once again, the guns are coming out of the safe and my Weatherby cartridges are joining several bricks of 22 LR's.

No need for the 300 around here. Love my 257. Been giving the 240 some trigger time lately. It will hopefully draw blood this season.
If I were in the market for another Wby it would be a 7 mm.

I'd take a 7mm weatherby but I'm kinda a 7mm slut. 300 weatherby would be another good all around rifle but I can't for the life of me like a 30 cal bullet for some reason and I've sent more than a few down range.

Elk at 660 yards, Antelope at 150. The 300 WBY will kill big and small at any distance...

I've nostalgic fondness for for the 300,but am at ease in setting emotion aside and connecting dots.
I'd be VERY impressed,if anyone has shot more 257 than I. No bullets there,so it's out.
I like 240 performance,but would much rather 6-06/6-06AI and pick my throat/twist.............

I hate to do this but since Stick is being civil this afternoon I'm going to agree about the 6-06. My 240 is a custom but it came with a 10 twist so the best bullets are out. Wish it was an 8 twist.

Shrapnel, incredible antelope!
I always felt the .300 Bee was too much of a good thing and like the Winnie more.
