Just saw a news report about her on TV. 70 mph fast ball and she just pitched a no hitter with 4 strikeouts. Impressive young lady.

I think it was a shut-out, but regardless, she's the first female to throw one at Williamsport. I'm kind of surprised no one seems to be following this story.

Yep. You are right - it was a shutout.

I'm following it. Watched her pitch last night. She's very good, but some of those hitters for NV are GRRREEEAAAATTT! IMO, the Little League WS is the most fun baseball to watch on TV.

You have that right! Some of my fondest and most horrible memories are of my days playing Little League. Now I watch my grandson's games with pride. IMO, Mo'ne was good but vastly overrated. It was another version of the Danica Patrick overkill. She did well against some of the best ball players in the league. The Asian teams are always tough, and I hope Nevada "steps to the plate".

Really interesting. If she keeps it up through high school and beyond, I'll bet there are more than a few sports medicine physicians who'd like to follow the MRIs of her shoulder.

I've never understood how the boys playing baseball get a pitch count, but the girls playing fastpitch don't. When my daughter pitched, it wasn't at all uncommon to throw three or more complete games in one day. All that crap about the girls throwing underhand not being as dangerous to their shoulders is a bunch of crap. Lots of girls tear up their arms too. Ellie suffered two shoulder injuries which cost her about a full season of down time over the course of her 10 years playing fastpitch. Mo'Ne's definitely got the juice, and you can't teach fast.
