I have a 6BR that is similar to what you are building. Remington 700 Kreiger re-contoured to match a LVSF Jewell Trigger B&C LVSF Stock Now it has Talley Lows I have a 22 Dasher built very close to this build but with a #5 Hart, a little bit heavier than the 6BR

I like it, I am trying to keep my rifle in the weight category with a 6.XX attached to it. I am going to use it cull deer this year after using my 20VT for deer it'll be like switching from a club to a car to hit seals with.

Thinking real serious about building a 1-8" 6BR(no turn) on a Montucky,wearing a 20" dupe...................

Took the hint, got a Sporter in 1-9" 6mm bore and a box of Lapua Blue. Called PTG and got a custom reamer to boot. Now I have to wait the 12wks for the barrel.

9" is a gamble...8" a certainty.
Gross RPM is a function of twist and velocity..................(hint)

Go 8" if you have the choice. There is no drawback.
