You are in wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy over your head and now would be a good time to stop. Really ? Well, unless you've made a 338/375 Ruger rifle then I spos your opinion on this is irrevelant.
For conversation every L/A 700 ever made,is "Magnum" length. Hint.
Really enjoyed the Throating Geometry Tutorial!.................. Have you ever loaded and shot the 300 gr Barnes Originals in a Ruger 338 Win Mag? Ya ok. Who said anything about a model 700 ?? Muscle Brakes get good reviews. From what everyone on LRH says and they give minimal back blast.

Go with the proven 338 Norma Mag and don't look back ! you can always load it down to match the lesser 338's if need be but why bother , it shines just the way it is !

I'd not wish to go greater than .532" and .532" logistics are a far brighter picture.
Hint...............

I'm wanting to use common brass and the 338 Norma is not common up here. Plus I would need to do lots of work on the reciever and might loose 1 round of capacity. Basically I'm looking for 340 Weatherby velocity from a standard action without needing to modify the action at first. If I later on modify the action to take the long magnum mag box then the $$$ savings will balance out. But at this point I'll stay with the standard mag box. For playing around with seating depth after I establish the OCW, I can single load as that will most likley be for long range only. There are still some mysteries about this build. But I think it is sound BS ; I've got you on ignore so its no sense cluttering up things with the useless trash that you type.

Easy answer- it got it's sorry ass kicked by the 338/378 Weathery.
It is better to be judged by 12 than to be carried by 6.
