Last fall I severely damaged the exterior of my Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 MC due to a stupid mistake I made. Basically the scope took a slide on some asphalt. Luckily I had the scope caps on so the glass remained perfect, but the scope body was skinned up and the windage turret didn't appear usable.I thought about just throwing it in the trash, but I decided to see if Zeiss could do anything.
In December 2013 I wrote Zeiss a letter explaining what had happened and that it was my fault, and I sent the scope in to Zeiss to see if anything was salvageable. Never heard anything back, but today a packaged arrived from Zeiss. They basically replaced everything except the glass and interior components (tube, turrets, power ring, etc.) for no charge! The scope looks brand new! I wasn't really expecting this, but I appreciate them providing this level of service for one of their discontinued models of scopes.

They did real well for me as well. Their repair facility is just down the road from my house and I sent in a 4.5x14 that got a case of internal fogging after being abused on a lightweight 300RUM. They had a new scope to my house within a week. Granted it is less than a day Priority, but I was still impressed. Kinda made me a Zeiss believer.

They told me 3 more months on my scope, and they already had it for a month. I call that dogcrap, not "good."

Never seen em quick, but don't need their service any more often the Leupolds service.
And I've never been one to have only one scope... so its not really all that big of a deal.
But in the McDonalds society of today, some folks should avoid Zeiss and other brands.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

We probably all have spare rifle scopes. My buddy Big AL's Zeiss 85T FL had it's focus mechanism go bad. Round trip to Zeiss and back was a bit over 6 months. Not everyone has spare $2000 spotters or binos laying around.
It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.

I've heard many stories of them sending out loaner scopes. I don't think I've ever heard of loaner binos.

I am 7.5 months and waiting. They have had my conquest since beginning of January
They keep telling me soon, hunting in 3 days so it will not be soon enough.
Had been my go to scope but a trijicon is on the rifle now

Wow! That is enough to make me not ever buy a Zeiss. I like the turn-around on Leupold and Burris etc. To me, that is poor customer service to take that long.
You did not "seen" anything, you "saw" it. A "creek" has water in it, a "crick" is what you get in your neck. Liberals with guns are nothing but hypocrites.

I think the reason mine took so long is because it couldn't be repaired locally. I didn't mind waiting since the damage was my fault and not a problem with the product. I really wasn't expecting anything in return, so I was happy they took care of my mistake.

When I was selling my Zeiss Conquest 4X32's, I had a brand new one with parallax set to be parallax free at 50 yards. I have had about two dozen Conquests over the last few years and this is the only one I have seen with a reticle that was clearly canted to the right. I sent it in for repair on 9 May after talking to Zeiss customer service. It arrived today with a new reticle at no charge.
Cheers,
GrimJim

I have always had my Zeiss repairs/retrofits turned around quickly. I don't recall any one being there longer than 3 or 4 weeks, which is very reasonable in my opinion.
