16. If it cant push a 180g bullet at 3000fps, its not enough gun for elk. Linky Thoughts?

That whole page of statements.is dribble. Opinions, all, without basis in either fact or reason. Just because I agree with some of them doesn't make them valuable on their face.
In regard to 16, WTF is enough? You can't make statements like that and leave the terms ambiguous. In my experience, it is utter falsehood. They are entitled to their opinion.

There was a writer a while back that wrote about nearly every scope not tracking worth a shyte out of the box, but that he did some tests with $2000 to $80 scopes, and found out the vast majority did better tracking after turning the elevation and windage dials all the way one way, then all the way the other way a few times. This helped to seat properly all of the wee parts.
I thought this was fairly well known by those who are 'in the know'. Apparently not.

I liked #29 "Why do men who are 50lbs overweight complain that a 10lb rifle is too heavy" Spot on x 10
Most of the rest of the page was on the money as well.
If I had the money to have a custom rifle built again, these guys would get some consideration from me. I am all set for life, and easily so, with what is in the safe now.

A 10 Lb rifle is much better for knocking out a ass shot bear than a 7 lb one, just sayin'

Hint.............. If I'd known then what I know now, I'd a spent my money on a 7-08 or a 308 and a 223, spent the rest on boolits and hunts and "filled the arc"

Hint.............. Headstamp trumps all else. Ultra mag?? I don't think so. Go straight to the Uber-mag. #36: I it don't need a brake, it's not worth the effort. #37: A 10-lb. rifle is great if you're not walking too far. #38: If you're 50 lbs overweight, a 10-lb. rifle is the least of your problems. But it's still a few lbs heavier than it needs to be.

I have a Savage 7 mag with a Criterion barrel that shoots groups that rival most of those shown for the $7000+ rifles. I think that I will pass.
You did not "seen" anything, you "saw" it. A "creek" has water in it, a "crick" is what you get in your neck. Liberals with guns are nothing but hypocrites.

100 grain Muzzy @ 280fps will produce elk loins just like a .300 sooper-boomer. Not sure what the BC of my 390 grain arrow was grin
