I am about to replace the factory spring with the lighter varmint spring (1 1/2 - 2 1/2lbs). It is the xmark pro (non adjustable original model). I know the lower front screw (1/16" Allen head) is the trigger weight adjustment screw, but my question is....do I just remove the screw all the way and the original spring will come out or do I need some special tool to get the original spring out and the new one in? I am not tinkering with the sear or the over travel screws as these are already tuned very nicely. Thanks for any input. John

Remove the screw and the spring may come right out. You might need to dig it out. Replace the spring and reinstall the screw. You may need to readjust the over travel a bit.

If it doesn't fall out just take a tooth pick or a wooden match and go in the hole and twist it a bit and it will come out on the stick. powdr
