No. Our govt no longer knows how to allow our military to fight and win a war. Additionally, Iraq doesn't know how to handle their own business so anything done would be in vain. It's going to be a ME suckhole no matter what.

Should have let the Brits keep it as a colony and run it instead of pressuring them to get out of the colonial game.
Should have let the Iraqis and Iranians kill each other off in the '70s and '80s.
Should have finished what we started under G.H.W.B.
Should not have been there under G.W.B.
Should not have left when and how we did under Hussein Obama.
Should not go back again, under Hussein Obama or successors, because we can't unbreak what is broken and can't unring a multitude of bells.

America needs to understand that our troops are not 'disposable'. Each represents a family; Fathers, Mothers, Sons, Daughters, Cousins, Uncles, Aunts... Our Citizens are our most valuable treasure; we waste far too many.

The only thing that will help is dividing up the country. That would only take 500 years to sort out.
One minute we are arming a group, the next minute we are blowing them up. We don't even know who is who over there.

Simple question, yes or no. And why? No. Iraq is beyond our ability to fix. There aren't enough American soldiers. Not enough American dollars.

We don't need to fix or police anything.
We do need to hunt down and kill those that are a threat to Americans, borders be damned.
If you are unable to, or unwilling to hunt down and stop terrorist who aim to hurt us in your own country, we'll help you or do it ourselves. You pick up the pieces when are done though.
Screw Nation building. Screw policing other Nations problems. Hunt down and kill terrorists.

I'm fine with going in and busting Iraq up every now and then. It's the word "invade" in the OP's question that I have a problem with.

No.
We're broke and can't afford continuous war, regardless of the constitutionality(or lack of) the intent.

Large scale military operations - no, no and hell no.
Small targeted assassination squads - yes, doing exactly what the Russians did in Lebanon to get their diplomats freed in the late 80's.
Abdul leads a large scale military force. We, in our current bumbling giant stupidity, want to teach Abdul a lesson so we blow away some of his low level soldiers with drone strikes. So Abdul gets to show the world that he's a compassionate big shot and attend their funerals, even though he doesn't give a sh*t about his low level soldiers dying. Or, as happens more often, we blow up Achmed and his whole family plus whatever innocent women and children happen to be in the area, even though Achmed has nothing to do with Abdul. Every Arab and/or Muslim in the world hates the US for their indiscriminate slaughter and rallies around Abdul who promises to teach us a lesson in return, thereby furthering his power and influence.
Instead, send Abdul his brother's head wrapped in pigskin with a list of his other relatives who will be next. Abdul doesn't get to be a martyred hero to his people but he gets the message to cease and desist or it gets real personal. Achmed isn't mad because he thinks Abdul is an a-hole anyway. And Abdul's followers think Abdul is a coward because he's willing to risk their lives but doesn't want to see his own family harmed.
The Mafia wasn't successful because they had tanks and killed thousands, they were successful because they used the right methods and targeted specific individuals.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!

No. The British created the modern state of Iraq under a League of Nations mandate so let the British go back in and make it a colony of Britain again. Otherwise let the Iraqis chose their own dictator.

Screw Nation building. Screw policing other Nations problems. Hunt down and kill terrorists. CRAP! To do that requires killing damn near the whole Islamic religion. A Christian Crusade anyone?

For all future invasions, I believe we should only enter a conflict with the understanding that we will be an occupying force in that country for a minimum of 40 years. That's what we did in Japan, Germany and South Korea and those countries are stable and productive. No more trading American lives for short term gains then long term pain.
