I hear good things about the Speer 35 cal 180 grain FN Hotcor.

Midway finally got some in stock. Thinking about giving some a go in my 358 Hoosier for IN white tails. Probably can get around 2,500 with TAC or Benchmark.

What has been your experience with this bullet for deer hunting?

I'm not saying that Speer bullets are soft but they will expand at lower velocities when others struggle. The bullet should work fine in the Hoosier. The 250gr Hotcor is a favorite among campfire .358W users even at lower velocities. I wouldn't be scared of the Hornady 180gr ss pistol bullet.I would go quickly to Midway's site and get some of those 180gr Hotcors. powdr

i've shot the speer 35/180's in the 2600fps range, worked well on deer.

Used to shoot those in my 357 Super Mag revolver for deer. They should work well.

I am continually astounded at how quickly people make up their minds on little evidence or none at all.
