This. Not to be an ass, but are you fat? Carrying IWB now at 185 pounds is a completely different animal compared to when I weighed 220.

The pistol i have been carrying daily for the last couple of months is the Springfield Sub-Compact 9mm in the CB SuperTuck, but my Kahr P9 is more comfortable and less noticeable

Are you asking me if I'm fat? I'm not fat. I'm gorgeous.

Has anybody tried the Versacarry thing? They seem to have some good reviews and priced cheap enough.

Heck, I started the "cheap rifles, cheap scopes, full freezers" thread, and even I don't go cheap when it comes to holsters.

As do many others, I have a lot of holsters that simply did not work! Several boxes full, in fact,

A holster is like a pair of shoes. What is a good fit for one man might be a bad fit for another.

My personal choice for an IWB holster is the Milt Sparks Versamax II in horsehide. It is extremely comfortably for EDC and allows for a quick draw. Team that with a Sparks belt designed for CCW use. Ask them to make the belt with seven (7) holes spaced 3/4" apart instead of the usual five (5) holes spaced 1" apart so you can have a more precise range of adjustment. Sparks belts are cut on a curve instead of a straight line to follow the natural contour of the body. More comfortable and a better fit that way.

If you want an OWB holster, the Sparks #55BHN is very good. If you prefer a Kydex OWB rig, the best I have seen is made by X-Concealment.

I like belts made by The Beltman for overall quality, but they do not cut them on a curve. for that reason, I prefer belts made by Sparks or Mitch Rosen.

Sure, Sparks leather is expensive and requires a considerable wait, but it is a whole lot cheaper than a couple of boxes of holsters that you do not use.

Concealment is such a combination of things that it is sometimes hard to pinpoint a single issue. Just like problem solving a any other issue, only change one thing at a time. It could be the weight of the pistol, the belt, holster, tilt, placement on the belt, fit of the belt to the holster etc.

I previously always reached for my super stiff leather belts but recently started making more holsters for the thinner BDU style of belts. As long as the holster is matched to the belt the carry is much better. Tonight I was carrying a shield on a BDU belt with cargo shorts and I was fine because everything matched up. A few weeks ago I grabbed the wrong belt for a holster for my G22 and it felt like I was carrying a brick that was shifting everytime I moved.

Good luck and dont feel shy about trying several combinations.

Seems like no matter how tight I girt the belt up, my pants and shorts keep sliding down as I walk. Cargo shorts seem to be worse about this than pants.
Maybe I don't have enough ass to keep them up.

Dunno....frustrating as hell.
So the fact that you're posting on this forum puts you as middle aged or older. Ever seen a middle age man's ass? NO YOU HAVEN'T!!! They don't have one.

So yeah that could be the problem.
