purchased a Nikon P-223 scope 3x9x40mm BDC looks like it needs high rings to me. someone tell me for sure, looking at leupold PRW rings. be easy on me, new to AR15 platform.

You will most likely find yourself needing an offset mount like the Burris PEPR or Aero Precision Ultralight mount. The height you need will most likely be between 1.25" and 1.5". Any higher than 1.5" above the receiver is too high without a cheek riser, IMO.

Midway specs say they are on 1" to bottom of the rings on the Burris and have a $20 rebate now.

My measurements were from rail to middle of scope ring. The Burris PEPR should be a good height although if you can find an Aero Precision, I think they make a better product.

thanks for all the replys, i ordered the Aero Precision Ultralight 1" rings. found them to be backordered just about everywhere including the mfg. bought the last set on Ebay that i could fine.
