What does the state require to prove out of state hunters are immediate family of a resident? My brother lives in Wasilla and I would like to go visit as well as hunt a brown bear.

If in doubt bring your birth certificate. I expect if they question your word on it however, that the burden of proof would lie with them or it would be their responsibility to formally request proof if they doubt you. (I assume there is no question about your brother's residency?)

(I assume there is no question about your brother's residency?) No, he has been a resident for over a year (stationed at Elmendorf) and has zero intention of relocating. He has already served his 20 and plans on retiring up there. I fired Alaska Fish & Game an email asking the same question. We'll see how long it takes to get a response.

He's probably right you know....when I came to Alaska 46 years ago the game regulations were maybe 6 pages...
If a guy really tried, I suppose it would have been possible to violate all of them in one season, if not just a couple days.
