Been trying for the last 5 years to get my first bull elk. Mostly its been bow hunting, but I took a couple extra days this year to let me hunt into the rifle season. Hunted them hard with the bow for the first week and a half, damn near had it all work out a couple times too but just couldn't finish the job. So, opening morning of rifle I walked in and put an end to the frustration. I had seen a couple that were bigger but he was plenty good enough for me. Thanks guys. Was happy to get him, should make a decent euro mount to put in the shop. Saw a number of bulls in the 10 days I was there, several of which were a fair bit bigger so I'll be heading back there next year,hopefully.
