Thanks to several threads here, I decided to buy a DIP products scope mount for my Savage/Anschutz M54. I didn't need one with any MOA built in as my M54 is setup for NRA silhouette competition, not long-range plinking, and the Leupold 6.5-20x that is on it has enough elevation already for that game.
Even without the MOA built in, the DIP products mount is a great addition to an M54. Primarily because it gives a much longer mounting surface that allowed me to mount my scope far enough forward so that I could get a good cheekweld when using the scope at 16x or 20x. Using the dovetail mounts on the action always placed the scope too far back for my liking. The mount also brings the scope up enough to clear the bolt while cycling, even when using low rings. The rings I am using are Burris lows and they fit the mount fine.
All in all a finely machined product that mated right up with the action and does its job. Not much else to ask for.
