That old M75 was a second rate gun back then. Some juniors used them. Just look at it's skinny, flimsy action. That scope is a joke. We started with the M52B and later models. Now the Anschutz dominates. Even a CZ would be a far better value.

About the biggest pitfall with the M/75 is that it has the same trigger as the M/69 and other plinker type Winichesters. It is not in any stretch of the imagination a target grade trigger. The sidemounted scope takes the M/75 depicted out of the $1395.00 price range, at best it might bring about half that. The stock looks as if it has been refinished, it's lighter in color and glossier than original.

I don't know if I would consider a Model 75 a crap rifle, my 1941 is a nice accurate rifle, not up to 52 standards but not bad. The one in the auction is way overpriced, the side mount scope kills any collector value, it's a 600.00 rifle at best and that might be high. My 1941, 50 Yard target,5 shot,
