My Stag has the fixed stock. When I shoot I hear the recoil spring pretty loud through it. Is this just a very normal thing? Would changing to an adj. stock get rid of it? Is there any aftermarket stuff to subdue the boing?
Just traded my 6.8 upper for a 5.56 to shoot cheaper and/or more ammo.
Now looking at all the different ways to configure these guns, (lots). It is a cool platform.

Oil it and it will quiet it down a good bit.
To completely remove the noise get a JP SCS. I have one in my .308 and it is very nice. I didn't buy it for the noise reduction so much, but it does work very well.

It can't be as loud as a box spring with two bar sluts getting slammed on it?
Pack some grease on it and that should cut the noise?
