Dennis, if that's the truth then you get a hold of me next year and I'll gladly come shoot one of those bulls on this otc hunt! In fact, I'll shoot ANY elk, with my really pretty neck turned 7LRM brass I got skunked last year in two different units. Just depends on the year.

Nice elk and congrats. i'm surprised you were able to save any of the meat though as two of my hunting buddies (one archery, the other rifle) had both had one out overnight and both lost most of the meat. One was in warmish September, the other was a below zero November night. That hide holds the heat very well.
