71.5g Retumbo with the 162 Amax was a good load, as was 66.5g RL22.

Yep,66.5grs of Reloader-22 will work,that's what I shoot.One of my manuals shows 62.9grs as max.If I wanted my 7mag to shoot like a 7x57 or a 280,I would have bought one of them.Gee the book loads suck for this round.

Really? 7828 has been one of the only powders I've been able to find consistently for the last 3 years around here. Interesting how that works.

That 7828 is the unknown goodness. No one really speaks of it around here. I've run it in my 280AI and a 300wsm with excellent accuracy and speed. Gonna give it a go in my 7RM as well.
