I used to make a ramp up to the top of a 5 gallon bucket, half full of water. I put it out by my dog kennels to keep the mice down and out of their food/water..Was good for 20+ a week of the little bastards.

Is it just me or is the prairie dog shooting even better now? Seems they are bigger and dumber. I'm liking this late season shooting better than our windy spring days. These two when out together, one 40 grain Vmax from my Vixen. Great way to start a day.

204 Ruger This one won't keep me up at night anymore. Been trying to wait before I started but there has been a few that cruz by my house and get the dogs going about 10 pm every night, so I went out and looked around with my new Wickedlight, caught eyes out at 250 or so and lip squeaked her into 90 steps.

I chase coyotes year-round, but I had to take a break this summer to go up to Alaska to work. Because of my trip north, my coyote "season" started in August, while scouting for deer. If anyone wants to coyote and is near Morrow County in Oregon, send me a PM. I wish I had a pic of the blood trail, he was so short the blood pumping out of his chest painted a 10" wide stripe through the grass for about 30 yards. My buddy picked this one up on the next stand, using my old Mossberg to ventilate the young coyote with Federal copper plated BB.

Exactamundo. One took advantage of the 'Vacancy' sign already this morning. I have 'transitioned and relocated' him . Sign is on again.

That's an appealing Ruger and I assume it's their Varmint configuration. Can you tell me more about it and how you have it set up? I saw that you use the Primos Trigger Sticks and I wanted to ask you if you thought they would be good for using when calling in coyotes.

ruger 77/17 Hornet. Not a true varmint, but heavier than the magnum contour. It's comparable to the 77 predator contour. No beavertail like the VT.... It's running factory 1 inch rings and a bushy 4.5 - 14x. No mods.
If you are practiced on shooting sticks, the trigger sticks don't have much to offer, but they'd do fine IMO.....
