I haven't had my coffee yet..... How long have you been up? Any longer than 15 minutes between feet on floor and coffee in cup its just assumed you were putting your 270 back in the cabinet. I fart in your general direction.

The 270 recoils less than the 280.... I think you need to dissect the available data of both shooting the same weight bullet at the same velocity before you can make a bold, blanket statement like that. Look carefully at all sources of data( that you personally like, and which back your contention)break them down to their respective minutae, obsess over the 'facts' you have found. Then and only then are you prepared to go on line and dispute the findings of known experts in the most petulant way possible. It do. Just because.... How's that for petulance?

Clearly, that's the reason for triangular barrels, they can only flex in certain directions, which also makes it easier to see the bullet impact...

I hate to dispute your .204-slandering rabbit claim, because I can't prove it's false with mere on-line research. But have lit up a few 8-12 pounds varmints with the .204 and, gee, they flew!
One of my .204's set a state record in Wyoming for how high a prairie dog flies, but it's not valid in Montana because the air is thinner in Wyoming.
