In our newsrag this morning was an article on heroin Link to article The energy boom has a lot to do with the drug problem here as well. might be less the energy boom than you think.....heroin is popping up everywhere because of the crack down on pain medication....if your taking more than a couple of pills a day heroin is cheaper than street oxy and you would be surprised who is hooked on it.... and cause the crack down for the last two months i havent known till within 12 hours of going through withdrawls whether or not i was gonna get my script refilled for morphine and basically double percocets not to mention the cost has taken a BIG jump in the last two years all because of the fed meddling....the feds rules have done nothing to keep opiates out of the hands of the addicts and only made my life more of a living hell..... but the dope fiends have always been there it was just easier to get the pain pills before now that its difficult heroin is coming back....hell now that its back the heroin is much easier to get than the pills cause you dont have to bother with a doc....

how you figure? there is a difference between an addict and someone like me....should the script not come through one of these days ill deal with the withdrawls(done it several times before) and not track down a hit of heroin......

been labled a chronic pain patient for the last 10 years....seen a dozen knee guys and two different chronic pain specialists trying to get off the chit but contrary to the chit you read about this pain killer being developed from snake venom or the secretions of some deep sea snail the only phuggin thing actually on the market is opiates.....they are the only real option.....you got another option that doesnt include either opiates or chopping off my leg above the knee im open to hear it but doubt you have any better idea than the experts.....
i hate the chit, all but one of the sets of withdrawls were cause i got pissed at the side effects and took myself off them for awhile....they are not fun to take day in and day out....havent gotten "high" off the phuggin things since the first couple years, all they do is keep the pain in the background and give me PITA side effects to live with....
and all the feds meddling to shut down the pill mills and cracking down on docs has done is make things difficult for the people that do fall into the description of actually needing the chit upping both the price and the paranoia of the docs actually only dealing with real pain patients so that if your doc suddenly goes on vacation its near impossible to get some other doc in the same phugging clinic to even write you a bridge script at the same dose you have been taking for 2 years......the junkies just switched to heroin

Then why not just get off of it for good? If someone is in constant pain, are they just supposed to suffer with it? The problem is the relatively small number of people in constant pain suffer due to the massive abused of perscription pain killers.

Yeah kids are limpdicks nowadays.
My cousin is 46 years old smokes no less than a 100 mg of oxy through a broke off car antenna. Chases is with a 12 pack every day more on weekends. Smokes mary J between beers.
Has wrecked and totalled about 30-40 cars. Has never killed anyone or himself. Tough POS he is. Flipped a Denali last fall, ejected, gravel pierced his skull via nasal passages. He couldn't stay in the ICU cause the painkillers weren't strong enough. Had to go home get a hookup from the skank up the holler whose granny gets the pills. Went back for surgery after 3 day binge.
- but I'm here to tell ya my boy does not freebase cocaine no more. Well....

yeah because anyone else actually has a phugging clue whats going on other than giving the feds a pat on the back for cracking down on the pill junkies and wondering why all the sudden heroin has made a big comeback....
shutting down the pill pushers didnt do a thing but bring heroin back in a big way.....addicts are addicts and gonna get their fix no matter what.....
and my knees are easy to understand, i was born with the knee joint not formed quite right and rather than just leave it alone i listened to a quack of a knee specialist who said he could make the majority of the pain go away but all he did was move me from having to take heavy doses of NSAIDs to having to take opiates cause of the extra damage he did....turns out everything ive done trying to get off the phuggin opiates has only made things worse and only made me require more....would give my left nut to go back to when i was 17 and decide not to do a phugging thing.........
now im 32 with no cartilage left and knee caps grinding away on the bone of my femur like a sanding block

Intentionally so, as private-built, private-run prisons are big business and they all have guaranteed occupancy rates in contracts with the states and the feds, with hefty penalty clauses should the states/feds fail to incarcerate enough to fill those beds.
America needs to understand that our troops are not 'disposable'. Each represents a family; Fathers, Mothers, Sons, Daughters, Cousins, Uncles, Aunts... Our Citizens are our most valuable treasure; we waste far too many.

It's also how the .gov gets to justify the civil forfeiture laws they have on the books now where they get to take and sell whatever they seize, even if the person from whom the property is stolen is never charged with a crime.
