Bought this for a project that never materialized. It is a takeoff from a Ti SAUM or WSM. Will also fit a factory sporter with a little more room. Gray with stainless studs $495.00 shipped.

Is this a McMillan stock? I didn't know that they ever supplied a KS pattern in short action.
What's the weight?

Sure looks like a KS but per an email I got from McMillan they never had a mold for a SA KS for a model 700, only for a model 7.

This is the real deal. Same stock as a LA but inletted for a SA custom shop Ti. Here is your chance to get a rare bird! Not sure of the weight as I have no way to weigh it.

Sorry I only have one now and it's a manners mcsl on my rem 7 AWR 300 saum. Stockys had them on sale for like $550 a while back maybe they still are. I like them pretty well. Not quite as light as an edge fill but not bad for balance on a saum or wsm.

Let us know what it really is. I'd like to know if a true Mickey KS can be inletted for a short action, as they told me before that they wouldn't.

What I got from Mcmillan when I asked the question was
" We can inlet for a short or a long action, but they must be ADL models to fit in the KS. I took some time and wrote down all of the specefications for the KS so that you can go over them and decide if that is indeed what you would like. They are as follows :
Remington KS stock
Overall length: 31
Standard fill weight: 2LBS
Depth of action area: 1.9
Max diameter action: 1.4
Forearm width: 1.65
Grip width: 1.4
Buttstock width: 1.7
Max LOP w/1 pad: 13.5
Drop @ comb: .450 "

Pred, Educate me. Tell me about custom shop ti's and how you can tell them apart. Also, with regard to the stock, is the only outwardly difference the lighter grey color over the normal dark (almost black ) B and C ti color? Thanks!

Custom shop rifle will typically have a barrel stamp like below instead of the standard Remington stamping. You can see the last letter or two of the caliber stamp on that gunbroker link.
