Each roasted chicken at Sam's has a date/time stamp on its container --- policy is to discard after 4 hours sitting out for sale. The birds to be roasted come into the club bulk-boxed specifically for the rotisserie (hand-seasoned immediately prior to going into the oven) ...

I'm just funnin' you. Sam's wouldn't take a chance on serving spoiled chicken. Too many lawyers looking to sue somebody these days.

I had to wait until he labeled the one that I bought yesterday. He was taking them out of the cooker as I walked up.

sam's takes lots of chances, not by intent, they have products from all over the world, some have been recalled. I have seen those chickens in various stores including the ones described. They are just a little wee tiny bit greasy for me. But to each his own.
Now on the other hand i was in ADOT today, place for license plates registration etc. Somebody in the back, in was around lunchtime, was heating KFC. There were people with drool running down their chin in the lobby.

They sell a plump broasted chicken for $4.98, plus tax, and one person can eat off one for several days. I've had three sandwiches off mine just today and have only eaten the drumsticks and thighs.

It is delicious!

How are they with pecans? whistle

I never have liked those store cooked chickens.

Best bargain in food ?

Can't go wrong cooking up a pot of dry beans.

I'm shocked by how few members have their own kitchen.

I used to eat food like that, until I got sick off one of those chickens. Never again.

There's a place here in town that'll sell you a pound of fresh fried catfish and a pint of beans for $10. I can eat two meals from it. Anytime I can buy anything that will feed me twice for around $10 it's a bargain. powdr

Getting take out food once in a while doesn't mean it's an eveyday thing.

We might do it once or twice a month
