Still looking for a EG in 30-30 with a 24 inch barrel. Would appreciate at least 90% condition. Anyone with one to let go of?
Thanks much, Steve

Yeah, I have a 303 and 30-30 and am almost sure the standard barrels were 22".

Thanks guys for the info. I'll keep searching. Sometimes most of the fun in acquiring one is the search. It will turn up one day.
Thanks again, Steve

Thanks much, Steve The 250-300 and the 300 Savage were the only calibers available with the 24" barrel in the Savage 99EG (1935-1960) The 30-30 was only offered in EG with the 22" barrel, so your search will go on forever. Savage99F358

They definitely were made with 24" barrels!! here's mine for your viewing pleasure. This one isn't quite the "pristine condition" that SBrown wants Still looking for a EG in 30-30 with a 24 inch barrel. Would appreciate at least 90% condition. Anyone with one to let go of?

I had a .30-30 w/24" barrel, 93% w/matching #'s, 1947, no extra holes. A person made me an offer I couldn't refuse; now I'm sorry---(but was glad when it happened). I haven't seen another 99 that I wanted since 4 hours ago.

If memory serves me: I'm thinking I once saw an "RT" 30-30 with a 24" barrel. Maybe it was yours? I'm getting old though and my brain doesn't work as good as it used to. Just sayin

Steve, I already put your name and phone number in the butt stock hole, in case I pass away dragging my deer out of the woods.
