Is this reticle useable for hunting? It looks a little thin according to the pictures. Looking at getting a Vortex Viper HS. Thanks!!

I've had good luck with it. Muzzleloader has the 2-7 Viper and I've shot three deer out around 175 yds with it.

I guess I forgot to mention is it too thin for low light conditions?

Can't say I've had problems with the reticle thickness in low light conditions, though all my killshots have occurred mid-day or thereabout. Easier for me to see than the Rapid-Z in the Zeiss Conquest, which I like a lot for its optics.

Last season i shot a buck right near dark with the dead hold BDC reticle. It wasnt hard to see the crosshairs in low light for me.
