That deer is almost as awesome as his smile!!!! Sounds great. All I got to do this weekend was muscle boat lifts and the dock out....... .....and catch a bunch of walleye. All I had to do was relax and it meant I was going to get called to work. never fails.

The Oklahoma youth season was this weekend and it will be Miss Katies last (she'll be 18 next year ). So we got in a practice session with my Md 7 .243 and she did great at 100 yards . We sat Saturday afternoon and evening with only squirrels and crows to watch . I insisted she get up at 5:30 am today and we give it another go . After two button bucks came by and the cows came in and licked up all the corn this buck showed up she made a perfect shot at 90 yards buck ran to old oil field road about 60 yards away and gave it up ! I was more excited than she was I think ! p.s. That gun is now hers My father used it when his .06 became to much recoil for him to handle my wife and nephew have also take their first deer with it .

That woofie looks to be sporin' a tracking collar. Maybe no a good candidate for the Shoot Shovel and Shut Up Woofie Relocation Program.

Dave, congratulations to Joey from me. Thanks for letting us all share the experience. The pictures were good of elk camp. I am always seeming to notice the double nine. Seems I saw that Nate was carrying it at elk camp and you had it when Joey scored. I missed a nice eight pointer Wednesday. He will be back. He had a nice scrape there.

If you have to take a second shot then you probably shouldn't have taken the first shot.

Hi Stan, yes I had the double nine on my hip in the joey deer hunt photos, its kind of my trail gun, so light , shoots straight and holds nine... Style is just a bonus. Nathan actually had my SS single six on his hip for the elk hunt, I had a ruger vaq 45 colt. Another young man on that elk trip did have my double nine on his belt though, so it was along on that trip too. Nathan just came home with a sharp tail grouse, so I had to show him how to take one of those guys apart.

Yup nice collar and two green ear tags. I think the wolf researchers like this guy. Got a picture of him last and I think the year before.

Way super Guys !! That is one of the best memories any devoted hunting nut parent can have. Awesome that Pammy got her turn. Gunna have to call "the boy" big Joe now ! Did he ask for a beer, after the work was done ?

Looks like a great hunt out there Dave. I've had a couple of blanks elk hunting myself. It might of stung a bit at the time, but looking back, the hunt was what I really enjoyed. Love the Shaw boys cross draw holster. You guys look like you mean business.
You must've barely unpacked before heading to camp. The smile on PWM's face is priceless. Made my day. Mom and Dad looked pretty proud too. Congrats all around!
How did those Coopers treat ya? It looked like you put them through a heck of a off-road test.

CFT, yeah I wear cross draw when I sling a rifle all day, and it looked like the boys followed suit on the elk trip, lol.
The cooper AT 3's are impressive so far, I'm really liking them. And the 9500 lb super winch tiger shark helped us out of a jam and performed as expected as well.
