OK time to thin the safe some. I had built this rifle 6-7 years ago as a little brother to my 358 Norma. Other than one trip to the range to sight it in it has sat taking up space in my safe.
The rifle is built on a Daly 98 action. The barrel is a Daly or MKX factory barrel rechamber to 308 Norma it is 23.5" long and the normal light factory taper. LOP is 13.5" weight 8.25# with scope
I believe the stock is Bastogne but I can't guarantee it. Ebony tip. The bluing a statin finish. Please notice the cross pin mag release has been milled to allow stock clearance without a groove. LOP is 13.5" I'm sorry it does have the factory slide safety.
Now for the bad news a small surface crack has appeared on the left side. I know it wasn't there when I built it nor when it was checkered. So it either happened in the move or going from 100% humidity in Houston to 15% here in CO.
I can catch the crack with my finger nail. If I was going to keep it I would simply cut a groove along the inside and epoxy in a screw to reinforce everything. Possibly use some thin CA glue to attack the crack for the outside. The blank and checkering cost more than the asking price.
For the rifle only (no scope or bases) $645plus shipping and ins.
I have a set of RCBS FL dies $35 plus shipping
126 Nosler 150gr BT 50 have been pulled using a collet puller $40 plus shipping
100 Norma cases. 50 are primed 75 are unfired 25 fired once. $100 plus shipping.
As a package the reloading items are $150 plus shipping.
If you are concerned about the stock and only want the barreled action I would consider an offer.
Maybe a good quality 22 bolt in trade?
