Yeah, to bad Obama has said no aggressive action without his first hand approval. No way he will authorize any airborne Confrontation with his ISIS buddies.

Naw, our planes will remain grounded, while the Israelis take care of business. Unless of course there is another mound of dirt that needs to be attacked. We got that covered.

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a man a welfare check, a forty ounce malt liquor, a crack pipe, an Obama phone, free health insurance. and some Air Jordan's and he votes Democrat for a lifetime.

We worked them in pairs. Four would have been unmanageable from a FAC's standpoint because only Lead spoke any English. All our directions to Two had to be relayed/translated by Lead.

In practice, we seldom worked even US fighters in fours for safety reasons. It was hard enough to keep two fighters in sight at all times, plus talk on three radios, navigate, manage other fighters we stacked up in holding patterns, keep track of the enemy, avoid ground fire - and fly our own plane. Simultaneously.

A current AF pilot I spoke with last weekend said that it has long been recognized that being a Vietnam FAC was the most task-saturated mission ever devised for a pilot. I did not disagree.

For those who are interested in reading about the exploits of FAC I'd recommend Christopher Robbins book The Ravens.

It gave me a real appreciation for the FAC's.

You didn't use logic or reason to get into this opinion, I cannot use logic or reason to get you out of it.

right, millions of our tax dollars, to kill a couple of punks. right on. since there's a billion such punks, and more getting that way all the time, due to our interference in places that we have no biz being (nearly everywhere) It took us billions of dollars, 30k troops there all the time and 50 years to sort out S. Korea. McCain was right, given the additional resistance of Islam, the middle east will take a century. we can't afford it. those people have no CLUE what to do with democracy, if they get it handed to them on a platter. So why bother with such crap? leave it to whatever twit will keep it under control
