Nice blacktail Jamie. I'd love to hear the details on the hunt.

Using a mountain bike to ride in behind gates and get away from the crowds has renewed my interest in deer hunting western WA. Most of the private timber land around here is pay access so the public land is crowded during modern season. I'll try and write something up after work today.

Did he tire easily on the uphill sections??

Did he tire easily on the uphill sections?? Little legs got so tired, hooves slipping out of toe straps and all....

That is a great blacktail for our area Jamie, Congrats. I can't tell from the pick but it looks like you don't have a rear rack on the bike??? I have a rear rack on my bike and when I tie the deer to it it's ass rests on the rack and keeps it from rubbing on the tire. similar to this... Just some unsolicited advise

Theres a rear rack on there. I normally have side bags but took them off trying to shave some weight.
