You can set both the elevation and windage turrets back to the zero point once the scope is sighted in. The zero stop is nice that you don't have to keep track how much you have turned the turret, you won't be turning a windage turret as much as your elevation and that is why no zerostop on it. The only downfall with Zeiss's zerostop is that you only get 16.75 moa of elevation adjustment when the zerostop is set. The pin stops the turret from making more adjustment.
