I just saw a rem 700 in 7mm mag and it looked like the normal sendero ( matte barrel no flutes no palm swell) but on the barrel it said "sendero special" and I have never seen one with the word special on it. Is it an early model or a different version? I bought a brand new one a few years back(10-15) in 25-06 that didn't even say sendero on the barrel only in the box but looked the same.

The "Special" has a 24" barrel instead of the standard 26" pipe on Senderos. Also has a lighter weight HS Precision stock than the standard Sendero. I've had a couple.... still have on in 7 Rem Mag....
You better pray to the God of Skinny Punks that this wind doesn't pick up......

Sendero seems to be hard to come by these days I haven't seen any not even on buds.

Yep. The first run of these rifles were stamped "Sendero Special" and had 24" barrels. My father bought one in .270win and still has it.
Now with even more aplomb
