Any experience or thoughts on this for budget optics?

You could spend a fair amount more and get less.
Really good buy IMO.

Very good IMO. I would have bought these, but the Legend HDs were so close to the same and quite a bit less $$$ so that's the route I went. Either of these two are great for the money IMO. FWIW Bushnell has a $100 rebate on the Legend HDs right now.

I have the 10.5 x 45 and yeah, a really good value bino.
Worked great on my sheep hunt.
To obtain a substantial improvement will take a pile of cash.

Another very good binoculars is Zen-Ray ZRS HD 10x42. bright and sharp. It is not Swarovski class binos. But for the type of hunting I am doing, it serves me very well.

I bought a pair and took them hunting for four days on an extended weekend. I don't have a lot of experience with binos, but these Vanguards blew me away. Resolution was amazing. My only knock was the small field of view, obviously a function of the 10X. In hindsight, the 8X would probably have been sufficient and somewhat easier with the larger field of view.
