When Boxer spilled the frijoles on the Cheseschutz, I think it was good business for Mark. I know Mark is really busy with other work, but it seems that the 1407R really took off. Bud at work just talked to Mark and he was thinking that he'd end the repeater conversion... too much work. I still see them listed on his site but who knows when the last batch will be. Glad I got mine. Waiting on my uber-rail as well...

Good match ammo from that rifle will shoot a single hole.

You have a 54?
Mark mentioned that Wolf will cut the group in half. I have some, but things are on hold until I get the uber-rail.
I'm pretty dang happy with 40gr ammo in general, even bulk.

Mine likes SK standard plus and it's not too expensive.
I'm going to do some more shooting w/ some bulk ammo over the next few days to see whats up.
It shoots Aquilla match good too but I was getting ridiculous vertical at extended ranges last week.

Mexi-match was shooting pretty good in mine, just low. Didn't shoot distance though.

Federal Auto match was shooting pretty good for me today. I caught the right conditions and hit 3 clay pigeons in a row at 410yds. 300yds was pretty fun too I really NEED the Uber Rails to start shipping. Mexi-Match continued to disappoint at distance.

The ship date keeps changing on DIP's website, but it's saying Oct 31st last I checked.

Done did and impressed. 25MOA top,75MOA bottom. Schit fits like a glove. Just walked in the door from zero confirmation and come-up confirmation, extrapolating the changes. I'm now 1.5 Mils rom the bottom of total erector travel, pard's is 3.5 Mils with like ammo and both gunned ragged holes...as they had prior. Fair night. 640yds on the erector alone...700+ all in.

Uber rail, 10x FF, and Seekins lows now installed. Zeroed at 50y with 40gr Wolf... 40.2 mils remaining. Its a hoot! Someone was nice enough to leave a stop-sign on a stump. Range was 311 yards. Right to left wind... from calm to ~20mph gusts. Aimed lower left corner to avoid the existing impacts and fired a shot to see where I was hitting. Dang close to POA... I could see the impact with 10x. Used 15.5 mils. Pull trigger, report, see paint erased in scope, wait, wait, ting! Cracked me up. Fired 3 more. Not too shabby for 300+ yards with a 22lr.

Should have mentioned that the 4-shots wasn't meant to be a group. After seeing POI of the 1st shot, I moved the reticle over to erase red paint which makes it even more uber-cool.
1407R is the best thing I've heard in a longtime. Uber-rail and FF make it a hoot.

Bud at work just got his 1407R so we took it out today for the first time. Its the stubby barreled rifle at the top of the photo. We had good intentions of trying a bunch of ammo, but went to the Wolf pretty quick. It shot fair at 50y as the target shows. Couldn't get a 50y zero with uber-rail and 3-15x Chicken. Went with 100y instead. IIRC, he has a freckle over 40 mils leftover. Wind messed with us, but settled down when shooting 492 yards. He needed 30.0 mils, I used 32.7 (50y zero on mine). He was spotting for me while I was trying to shoot a twig with his rifle. Miss, inch high. Miss, inch left. Boom, nailed it. What a hoot! Mine did equally as well, but reading the wind was a challenge without the fog. At the end, we were well within the 8" steel unless the wind kicked up. Not easy to steer with no windicator! A 2mph wind does a lot to a 40gr bullet starting at 1050 fps...
