Curious, as to speed/accuracy, and state bbl length please if you have data. Thanks in advance for any info, inc. loads.

I have a new 6.5x47 that I've just started load workup for with the 100 TTSX. It's built on a borden alpine action, Bartlein #2 8.5 twist 5R barrel at 22" in a Mcmillan hunter's edge stock. Most 6.5x47's reamers are throated for the VLD's so I had PT&G make me a reamer with less freebore for the 100TTSX. I've been playing with it the last two days and only have 20 rounds through it so I don't have much info. I've tried H4895 and Varget through it, primers were CCI450 and brass of course Lapua. I just shot one three shot group of 38.5 gr. H4895 through it with the 100TTSX .050" off the lands and it was around 3/4", velocity was around 3020. I shot three groups with 39.5 gr. Varget, velocity was 3015 fps avg for them. I tried seating depths of .035" off the lands, .060" off, and .085" off. The .035" and .060" off loads both were under 1/2" for three shots, the .085" off load opened to about 3/4".

It's shooting really well considering I've only shot a few groups, the rifle definitely seems to want to shoot the 100 TTSX ok. As I'm sure you've noticed there's not much (any) data out there for the 100 grainer in the 6.5x47 so I had to guesstimate backwards from loads posted on various internet boards. I have no idea what max would be with the 100 TTSX, both the H4895 and Varget loads I tried seem really mild and I think 3100 should be easily doable, maybe 3200.

I'll be playing with it the next few days and will post any more info I find. I might try and shoot a ladder test to see if I can find the nodes.

Agree on your projected speeds. 260s drive 100 cup/core to 3300 +/-

Thanks for input, sounds like a nice sporter, used Alpines on a few builds. Seafire here can chime in what powder he uses for 100s in the 260. Odds are it will do well here.

Love to see pics of your rifle.

I ran the 100gn TTSX to 2950fps from my 6.5 GM (Grendel with the shoulder pushed forward by .050) that has a max case capacity of 37.5gn h20. 21in barrel.
This was the 200yd ladder test so it shows good potential with the 5,6,& 7 loads . I found better with the 123gn A Max though and have gone to it but the ttsx would be good too as it certainly shoots well.

Well, Obama's component shortage has reared it's ugly head so I didn't get to do as much load workup as I wanted. I thought I had another box of 100 gr. TTSX's but it appears I don't so I've got 25 bullets left and that'll have to get me through the deer season. I can't find them online or at the LGS so I'm gonna have to ration them.

Today I shot a few more groups with Varget and got it up to 40.3 gr. which gave me around 3130 fps. I varied the seating depth and got my best groups with them at 2.595" OAL (.055" off the lands) and 40.0 gr. Varget which gave me 3080 fps. 200 yd three shot groups were right at 1" so I decided to call that good and keep the rest of my bullets for hunting. It seems to be a mild load and I'm sure I could wring more out of it, but it's shooting plenty well for deer hunting and the opener is a week and a half away. I could tweak it some more but it's plenty "good enough" and I'd probably run myself out of bullets in the process.

After deer season I'll do some more load development with a ladder test when I can lay in a good supply of bullets.

Here's a pic of the rifle. Go easy on me about the Hubble, I know the cool kids here don't like them. It's going to do duty on coyotes and hogs at night hence the 3-12x56 meopta

my pard is running the 120g Nosler BT in a variety of 6.5 customs, no complaints when it comes to group or kill'en!

100g partition should be a sack of hell in this 6.5 caliber.

Thanks blackblue, I found some at powder valley after I made that post yesterday and have them on the way. I checked the day previous and didn't see them, maybe they just came in.

I've been on the hunt for 6.5 supplies and happened so see them, I'm tempted by the 120's myself but powder options are almost non existent.

Thanks!

The glass is superb, Meopta makes a great scope. It's virtually indistinguishable from my Swarovski PH.

I'm running 120gr BTs at 2925fps with 36gr of RL 15 and a 25" Krieger. It's going well.

Thanks for load info.

VG, that Grendel Express is smoking! Wonder what a BR case would do? Perhaps the same at little less pressure. You are ahead of a 6BR/105, w/a stout bullet, though less BC as LR guys will mention. Should be good for positive 300yd expansion, let us know if you have any feedback on results on game. Thanks much.
