According to the local news my county,(Baxter county,AR) had a 75% turnout this election with about 24% of them being early voters.

I don't remember that big of a turnout in years, Especially in a mid term election. Republicans won from local races up to state level.

Did anyone have high voter turnout in their area this time?

Damn. Hard to believe. When I lived there 75% were retirees from Chicago.

Yeah, We are still "blessed" with an abundance of them and their love of anything democrat. Buncha' cranky ol' bastids.

Surprisingly enough they voted Republican this time.

I had a small business there in the late 70s. Those retirees always paid with 1933 Federal Reserve notes.One of them showed me his $1000 bill and his $500 bill while complaining about $.68 gas prices.

That endearing trait hasn't changed. And of course I never get tired of hearing how they did it up North and how great Chicago is.

Can't believe they would move away from such a paradise.
