How do ya'll carry your extra ammo for your rifle? I've looked for a leather pouch to hold 10 rounds or so, but haven't found anything particularly suitable. Seems it would ideally go on a belt, and have either individual cartridge slots, or hold a tray.

I've used this one from Murray Custom Leather. They work just fine. http://www.murraycustomleather.com/shell.htmThey also have belts with shell holders. http://www.murraycustomleather.com/belts.htm

I use a Murray as well but the seven round C-3.

I have the Murray as well, only all leather. I also have the Sharps Box, good for PP cartridges as far as protection (somewhat anyway) from the elements, but way too slow on the reload. My favorite though is the Murray open ended holder as I much prefer that style.
A good principle to guide me through life: “This is all I have come to expect, standard lackluster performance. Trust nothing, believe no one and realize it will only get worse…”

Murray C1 9 cartridge belt holder. My choice as well. Murray makes cartridge carriers that actually FIT XXL cartridges well. Mine is a veteran of many hunts in both rainy, wet late fall Alaska and hot, dry African Summers.

For 6 years I used a couple of 10 round leather open top carriers from Cabelas. THey held 375's perfectly. They were cheap. The case I used for 416Rigby 470NE is a custom,by me. It is a belt slide that holds 10 rounds in two rows. It folds up like a bifold wallet and when you unsnap it it unfolds down with 2 rows of 5 each rounds ready at hand. It is made from a couple of thicknesses of leather I brought back from Zimbabwe my first hunt there. The holders are elastic. I sometimes carried additional spare rounds in an MTM Caseguard wallet in a hip pocket.
