Great deer Ryan!

CFT, I love the old photos.

Good luck and be safe everybody, I'll try to report in from the deer stand if I can get a cell signal.

I like that Rooster! good luck and have a good hunt. Those old pictures are great, i dont understand why we dont take them more now days with the technology that we have. I miss the old guys that we hunted with, they were always full of stories and antics. Tip the hat and cup to all the Hunters that are not with us anymore! God Bless!

The fever is at its highest pitch! Heading out soon to set up our camp (shed). This will be year 33 for me. My daughters first. I really hope she gets an opportunity. It sure would be fun to say we are having her steaks for supper!

Make it a good hunt boys and take that extra moment to be safe.

Nope. It's been a few years. Does it still look like a nuclear bomb went off there about 50 years ago?

Thanks for the tune CFT. It was exactly what I needed to hit the zone. I'm preparing my gear as I type.
I sat on my open ROPS dozer all day in the wind and rain but no way could anyone wipe the smile of self-employment off my face. Did I mention that I don't have to put in a request to hunt all week if I wish? The same will go for ice fishing this winter.
How does that feel ND????? smile

Rooster,

Not much has changed on the prairie other than a whole lot fewer antelope due to bad winters.,, The deer population has been hit hard not only by the bad winters but disease as well.

4 racks of pork back ribs are smoking back at the cabin. They are starting hour number 4 now. When I get back to the cabin I will wrap them in foil and simmer them for a couple hours in apple cider. I suppose we will be eating by about 8 pm. Then we will all slip into a food coma. Lol!

No deer yet, none shots fired. Come to think of it, very few shots have been fired all day.... Quiet in the woods.

No deer for the camp Isabella crew. Not even one seen so things are normal. We will give it another go in the morning. We did here a couple of shots this A.M. but a very quiet day.

I dreamed I went deer hunting in my Chickenbuck t shirt and hat.
No, wait! It wasn't a dream. I DID go today but saw nothing. My South Carolina friends all had to hear the story of what Camp Chickenbuck was.

The more I listen,the more I hear....and vice versa.

45/70,it's almost a religion.

If you have to take a second shot then you probably shouldn't have taken the first shot.
