This load routinely shoots under an inch but today it really shined. 308, 150 Sierra SP loaded to about 2750 fps with R15 at 200 yards (3 Shots). I think that'll hunt.

Great! Your shooting form was exceptionally consistent.

Nice shooting, I have a Montana in 257 Roberts, it's quickly becoming my least favorite rifle, shoots the 100 gr TTSX's to 3267 fps at about an inch, just to damn hard to get behind and shoot that little toyish feeling bustard.

I may have to sell it. frown

After a lot of reading here on shooting light rifles, I put the front sandbag underneath the mag well, held snug on shoulder and put some downward pressure on the scope. Seemed to work pretty well, I guess. My load was 46 gr r-15, LCM military once fired brass, fed 210 primer with an OAL of 2.810 (about .070 off the lands). I kinda feel its a bit slow, but that kind of accuracy gives me confidence. I didn't bring the target home to measure, but as best I can tell from pic, it looks to be a ~.68" group.

Just factory bedding. I did double check that the magazine wasn't binding and that the scope mount screws weren't bottoming out on the barrel threads.

Scope is a used (bought here on the fire) zeiss conquest 3-9 x 40. Basic z plex reticle.

Yes. They are actually from an old, dark green cardboard Sierra box. (Bought here on the fire as well). I don't know that "game king" is on the box. But they are the 150's, spire point (no boat tail).

I sure like the balance with my select classic Roberts its a MOA or better for 3 with 46 grain of H4350 and the 100TTSX, I am however not a big fan of my Montana 308 off the bench but its more a hunting tool and it is light, I don't think very nice looking but then does not get treated with kid gloves like a nice wood stocked rifle smile . I have toyed with the idea of a matching montana Roberts, good to here they shoot well...
