I was supposed to be calling coyotes but my plans got changed. 4 of us killed 8 birds so for out here in the last few years it was a great day. We should have all had a limit but a little rusty.

Went coyote calling while Nash was off slaying cow elk this afternoon, drew a total blank.. Also checked one of my snare lines, but nothing had been through since the snowfall...
Good job on the 'parrots and coons fellers..

That cat picture is one of the best I've ever seen.
It was Steve Timm who once wrote you could always tell a feral cat because "they're the ones that usually have pretty collars and little trinkets dangling from them."

Dunno. There was a whole flock of them took off outta the feed bunks. I only got 1.... Came by the pens later and a pair of pigeons flew up. Nailed one, missed one. The missed one flew around for a while and landed in a cottonwood. I run back to the truck and grabbed the 204. All I found was his azz and a wing.... I then took a walk up the creekbottom...

Got in three stands this morning. -17 degrees and no wind made for some nice calling weather. First stand had a dog hang up at 800 yards and wouldn't come any closer. Must have seen something he didn't like. Second stand had a single come in and my friend drilled him in the head with his 243. Final stand had a triple come in but only managed to get one with the 17 tactical launchin 25 grain bergers. If we had been sitting beside each other we would have gotten two of them but my friend was facing downwind and never seen them. Top dog was 17 tactical and bottom one was 243. The bottom dogs fur looks terrible in the picture but he was just that dirty. I don't know what he was digging in but brushed him and he actually had a pretty nice pelt.
