I always use the highest power available to me if I'm shooting from a good steady bench. If you have a decent scope, it shouldn't matter. The POI shouldn't change at different power settings. If it does, get a new scope.
Those who must raise their voice to get their point across are generally not intelligent enough to do so in any other way.

I guess everyone has their preference, but I like mine set 6,or 8 .It plays with my nerves if it's set too high.

What kind of rifle are we talking bout?
There's no way I'd have it on 24x unless the aim point was very small, the rifle was heavy, and the stock was configured to be steady on the bags.

I'm not made of granite. A whole lot of magnification on a rig that isn't inherently steady does me more harm than good.
With a fine reticle, 12x is more than enough to hold on a half moa aimpoint.

thanks I like to take advantage of fov therefore I like setting at 4x or less at that range. Not being varmint hunter or target shooter if I got stuck with optic like that it would be set at 6x at 100 paces.
