Got out of the rat race for a bit this weekend, headed back home to hunt with my brother. With things beginning to freeze up, he was focused on waterfowl though, and I wanted to do pheasants. So me and Skidjit did some scrounging and came up with these guys. Two birds on Friday, limit of 3 on Saturday. Shotgun pictures was used, a Browning Citori in 16ga. Loads were Federal 6s and Fiocchi 4s. Only one of the birds was taken with the Federals - the Fiocchi's kicked the everlovin sh*t out them. I lost one bird on Friday (with the 6s), considered that part of my limit. Great to be home, great to be outdoors. The pooch is tired, I'm tired too, but I feel alive again.... Kaiser Norton

Nice. Good looking dog and shotgun. Great job on the birds. Wish I could just go out and hunt pheasants. Have to get drawn here in AZ and such a small area to hunt them. Better odds (which are really bad) of getting drawn for antelope. (my dad put in for 18 years and never got drawn).
Only a dingleberry, not yet a Turdlike person, maybe someday!!! I am happier than a retard in a room full of bouncy balls right now!! Joe.

Nothing I'd rather hunt than wild roosters. One of these days I'm going to make it up north to the Dakotas.

Good looking dog and the right shotgun gauge... Now, all we need to do is get you shooting a DT SXS. I am looking. Current 16ga inventory (along with the Citori) is a Winchester 1897 and a Remington M11. Need a nice double and a proper single to complete the setup.... Thanks, Kaiser Norton

Nice!
Your Lab looks exactly like mine except for the collar. She lives for chasing ND roosters. I'm hoping we can get back out there after Christmas and the white stuff isn't too deep.

Nice and glad you are feeling better. Large shot does tend to end things quickly.

Nice!! Im with you on the #4 shot, that's all I use on late season roosters, early I will run #5's on occasion but nothing smaller. Big shot kills better and you don't need to pick shot all day when ya clean em.
