Update: Was there last week, best conditions ever except maybe it could have been a little colder. Snow on the ground and 3 inches of fresh snow on Fri. First time in a very long time had snow when I was there. Didn't get to try and track one, just couldn't cut a fresh track. Didn't shoot anything. Here's the kicker. I'm driving home, about a half hour from camp just getting light, biggest buck I ever saw (alive) standing on the road. High, heavy rack, maybe 18-19 in spread, thick beams with a 3-4 inch drop tine off his right antler. I'd guess in the 220-240 lb range. I'll be thinking about him until next year......gonna be a long year!
